Daycare

Well-balanced dogs play and interact with other dogs and dog professionals. Daycare is an opportunity for your canine friend to socialize while you work, run errands, or enjoy the local mountain towns. Treat your best friend to a day of fun and activities, and pick up a calm, relaxed dog at the end of your busy day.

How do I schedule a daycare visit for my dog?

Although daycare is available for walk-ins on Monday through Saturday for registered clients, it is helpful if you are able to make reservations in advance. That way, our staff can customize and plan your pet’s day of activities ahead of time. Create or login to your customer portal here to register your pet with us and request reservations.

All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations including Bordetella, Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies. Vaccination records should be sent to mountaindogshots@gmail.com or brought in as a hardcopy prior to your pet’s first daycare visit. You may also upload them to your customer portal.

What do the daycare dogs do all day?

Drop off for daycare begins when the office opens at 8 a.m.

Please, use the grassy hill out front for a brief morning walk to give your pet(s) a chance to relieve themselves before bringing them inside. All dogs need to be on a leash.

Your pet will be assigned a private accommodation (crate) and personal water bowl for the day.

Each dog enjoys time outside in the play yards in regulated, supervised socialization groups that are determined based on size, age, temperament and dog friendships. The groups take turns rotating through all our outdoor spaces, and then they come back inside for a private rest period with access to fresh, clean water. We are careful to provide enough rest to pets that require extra downtime. We also help dogs with higher exercise needs get all the playtime and physical activity they require!

*Keep in mind that our office is closed from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. each weekday, so no dogs may be picked up or dropped off for any services during that time.
